Professional Qualifications for HVAC Technicians:​

Welcome positive feedback and learn from constructive critique

Have strong reading comprehension

Be able to thrive in an environment of constant, essential written and spoken communication (Fluency in Spanish is a plus)

Carry himself/herself in a professional manner, which reflects well on the company

Take responsibility for his or her work, admitting mistakes & working toward resolution

Have a valid driver’s license & a good driving record

Possess ability to use computer and mobile apps to report requested information and communicate with other JD Air staff, customers and partners. (JD Air is a paperless environment)

Take COVID-19 safety precautions seriously and be willing to follow ALL safety protocols.

Be honest

Journeymen HVAC Technician Candidates must also have the following technical credentials:
​
-
Have a current CFC license
-
Possess a Journeyman or Master License issued by DC, MD or VA
-
Safely carry out all work according to applicable regulations
-
Be willing to meet and exceed company sales goals
-
Be skilled at thorough preventative maintenance for residential and/or commercial settings
-
Be skilled at troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing commercial and/or residential heating and air-conditioning systems without supervision, which includes brazing, modifying sheet metal ductwork, and using system and wiring diagrams effectively.

Be physically able to lift 50 lbs and perform assigned work
